The ups and downs of training

It has been far too many years since i regularly participated in any athletic persuit. I don't know if it is the glorified view from my mid 30's of the "good old days" or if my younger body was just better at this stuff. I never remember having such a mix of good and bad feeling training days when I was a kid. Since I have gotten over my cold I have gotten back to making steady progress, just the feel of the progress is mixed. The times are getting more consistant and the improvement in my mileage does feel good. The persuit of goals can be tough, but it is always worth it. I would rather know that I failed trying than to grow old wondering if I could have succeeded. |
